Facebook Ads or Google Ads? ๐Ÿค”

Updated: May 28, 2020

When it comes to paid social, what is best for your business, Facebook ads or Google ads?

If you feel puzzled by the same question, this is the post for you.

I came across this super insightful article which provides head-to-head comparisons between Facebook ads and Google ads. It is a bit long so I have done a quick summary here. However, it will be well worth your time to read if paid media is something you are looking to leverage in 2020 for your business.

To summarise:

๐ŸŒŸ If you have the budget, use both Google and Facebook ads. A blended approach is considered the best because "it can take advantage of both platformsโ€™ strengths โ€” and it allows you to shift budget and strategy between platforms as needed."

๐Ÿ’ฐ When all else being equal, Facebook ads are cheaper in terms of CPC (cost per click).

๐Ÿง Both platforms have made it easy to get started but what you do afterwards is the daunting bit.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Facebook pixel is super powerful, even the Google Ads expert admitted: " it is way better than the tag that Google rolls out".

๐Ÿ’ต Neither of the platforms is built in favour of small businesses with a tight budget. But it is still do-able, and I can certainly help you.
